Coffee Embarrassment and Redemption

Getting coffees with other mums is one of my happy places in life. I love a good coffee and catch up with a friend. After working out at Studio 4, a friend and I along with our two babies decided to walk across the street to Local Authority. We were immediately greeted with the warmest smiles and welcome from the staff. It isn’t a typical child friendly café. There aren’t any high chairs or changing tables. BUT they made me feel more welcome than almost any other café I’ve ever been to with my baby. I ordered a flat white – which was beautiful and delicious. Within minutes though my little guy… who has just started becoming extremely grabby… knocked the entire flat white all over himself, me, and the floor. He laughed and I cringed – upset both about making a scene and about wasting my most precious fuel and resource - COFFEE. The staff came to my rescue quickly and with so much kindness. They cleaned all the mess and replaced my flat white so I wouldn’t miss out… I think they could see how gutted I was. I highly recommend this little café, the staff and their beautiful coffee.
